Last day of class

Today was Jim's last day of regular class for paramedic school! He got a great score on his final, and is so relieved to have that part over with. Now he starts his hospital clinical.

9 month check up

I took Reese for her nine month check up today. My guesses on her stats were pretty close!
*Height- 29 inches
*Weight- 19 lbs. 8 oz.
She was quite the goofball during her exam. Wish I could have recorded it we were cracking up!

11 days!!

There are only 11 days left of school! We are on the countdown!
And Caleb will be gone at Outdoor Ed for 4 of those days! I can't wait for summer vacation! I love not having to rush out the door everyday(unless it's for something fun) or worrying about homework etc. Now if we could just have some summer like weather life would be perfect!

Reese is 9 months old!

I can't believe it but Reese is 9 months old today1 Where have the last 9 months gone??
I take her for her 9 month check up next week, but her stats are pretty close to this:
* 19.5 pounds
*27"inches tall im guessing
*she has SEVEN teeth
*she pulls herself into standing and will let go, but won't commit to taking a step yet. I'm ok with that.
*She LOVES food! The only thing we have found she doesn't care for is cottage cheese.
*Caleb is still her favorite person, her face lights up when he walks into the room.
*She says "momma" and "hi"

D.A.R.E Graduation

Yesterday Caleb graduated from the DARE program at school.

Caleb's big purchase

Caleb has been saving his money from Christmas this year, and his birthday for something. We didn't know what, but something:)
So last weekend I counted out his money with him, and realized that he had A LOT of money. So we took him to Target to pick out what he wanted to buy. He went to the Lego section and decided on 2 of the BIG Lego sets. As we were asking him if he was certain that was what he wanted to get, he quietly said"well I do have enough money to buy and Xbox" I told him it was his money it was up to him, but that would leave him with zero dollars. He went back and forth for about 10 mins then finally (of course) decided to go with the Xbox. The boy had a smile from ear to ear!

Reese decided to try on some of her dad's underwear(don't worry they were clean, I just had the laundry on the floor to fold) Caleb thought this was hysterical! I think the over the shoulder look is nice. And yes she put these on all by herself like this!

Katie's "golden" birthday

This year is Katie's golden birthday, she is 15 on the 15th! This girl has had quite the year, so I'm sure she is enjoying being extra spoiled right now. In honor of her 15th birthday, here are 15 facts about Katie today:

1. She is approx. 48 in. tall

2. She still weighs 50 lbs.

3. Her two favorite "things" are her pink silkie blanket, and Manny the monkey

4. She still laughs hysterically if someone falls down or hurts themselves.

5. She now has 4 very cool surgery scars.(we are thinking a tattoo is next;)

6. She has NEVER had a cavity!

7. She refuses to let you take a good picture of her. When the camera comes out she hides her face. So if you see a good picture of her, it took about a thousand shots to get it!

8. She has a metal plate in her hip.

9. She's not really a fan of Reese.

10. She has become very dramatic as a teen.

11. She has the BEST wardrobe of anybody I have ever seen!

12. Her favorite movie right now is Beethoven. She laughs to point where she can't breathe! It is hysterical.

13. She is not a fan of the double stroller, and I can't figure out why.

14. Peek a boo, still cracks her up every time!

15. and finally, she is the most inspiring girl I know! She was in so much pain for so long, but would still have a smile on her face. She has been poked, prodded, cut, casted, stretched, and carted all over Northern California to different hospitals, but she doesn't resent any of us for it!

New things

I LOVE all the age that Reese is at right now. Everyday she has some new "trick" or babble. It is so fun to watch her interact with Katie and Caleb. She now says "momma" and "Da-da"- this one is up for debate between Jim and myself, he says she is saying it, I don't :)
When she takes a bite of food she goes "mmmmmm" SO funny!
Today she started giving me kisses. When I ask her to, she actually stops and kisses me. Then she gets so excited after she squeals!
She also discovered her shadow this morning, and chased it around for a LONG time. SO cute!
I have a video of it on my phone, but it is taking FOREVER to upload right now. I think I will just post it later.

Poor baby Reese

Poor Reese just can't seem to catch a break...
she had a sinus infection, so the Dr put her on antibiotics, to get rid of it .But the have caused her to have constant diarrhea, which had caused her to develop the worst diaper rash! We are talking bleeding diaper rash. So needless to say she screams hysterically every time she has her diaper changed, which is all the time now. But I got some new creams from the dr today, so fingers crossed it goes away soon. She will be done with the ammox on Wednesday!
On top of all that I noticed last night, that she has cut not one, not two, but THREE teeth over night! Poor thing! So she now has 4 chompers on the bottom, and 3 on the top. WOW
Oh and I forgot to mention that she now bites. How do I stop this??

Mother's Day

Yesterday I got to celebrate my first Mothers Day! I must say Jim WAY exceeded my expectations. First, I got a beautiful necklace from Nashelle. Do yourself a favor and check out her stuff, AMAZING!! www.Nashelle.com
Then on Saturday I got beautiful roses delivered to the salon(well actually Lisa Armstrong did. Dont know who Lisa is) my dad also had a beautiful flower arrangement delivered to the house! then Jim took me out on a date, just us, to Zins Valley. It was SO SO good. Then on Sunday I woke up to stuffed french toast and coffee in bed, made by Jim and Reese! Reese then ate half of my breakfast.
It was SO fun to be spoiled. But don't you worry, it was back to real life this morning!

A weekend with the Ceselini's

We went to Nevada City this weekend to hang out with The Ceselinis's! It was a crazy weekend, but we had SO much fun as always. Reese had been up most of the night Friday crying. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I felt like crap, which I thought was allergies.
We went to a BBQ in Grass Valley on Saturday, ate too much good food, drank a bunch of good wine, the boys all went on a LONG dirt bike ride, celebrated Joe's birthday, then had another BBQ Sunday. WHew! Oh and I forgot to mention that Reese was up all night Saturday screaming too. Awesome.
Reese and I went to our doctors on Monday morning, and guess what....we BOTH have sinus infections and are now on ammoxicillan. I was wrong on my allergies I guess, and now feel bad about dragging Reese all over the place when she was sick.
Fingers crossed that Reese gets some sleep tonight. Both of us need it BAD!!
