Not a happy Reese

I don't know what is going on with Reese...unless she is being held she has been screaming crying for the last week. She is always chomping on her fingers so I'm pretty sure that she is teething, but she has NEVER been like this before. It is so frustrating and sad at the same time. I really hope that it is the teeth, and that they break through soon and I have my happy easy baby back! Otherwise I will soon be bald from pulling my hair out!!

A Father's day gift and some funny faces

For Father's Day Jim got a new charcoal bbq!
He has been telling me for years that he HATES the way the gas grill cooks, and the way the food tastes, etc. etc. so I decided to be nice and surprise him with this(plus it went on sale at Lowe's)
I must say the chicken he cooked tonight was exceptional!!
He wasn't too thrilled with me taking a picture of him with it
Reese has been making these hilarious faces and sounds lately, and I was finally able to catch some of them on the camera tonight
Patiently waiting for dinner
This face was accompanied by a loud screeching sound(not so cute)
Check out those chompers!(She now has NINE teeth by the way)
So happy
this is the one I have been trying to catch. She snorts and makes this face, it is too cute

A VERY hot day at Six Flags

On Monday we went to Six Flags(or as I still call it Marine World)
It was SO flippin hot!! This was the first time I had taken both girls to a place like that, and let me tell you the double stroller with both of them in it got pretty heavy pretty quickly! Luckily Abby went along too for the day and we traded off pushing. I would have died by myself. The kids had so much fun. I don't really have any pictures of the boys, because they were about 100 feet in front of me all day running to go on the next ride:)

Cherry Pie

I made my first cherry pie from scratch today. Looks just like the picture, hopefully it tastes as good.

YUMMY

Model Reese

On Friday I took Reese to have her pictures taken for the first time.
She did great! Thank god I had Rebecca there to help me, I don't think I could have wrangled her by myself! Thanks friend!!!
It was crazy busy there and the photographer was rushed, but I think we got some really cute shots.
Here is the link to all of the shots:

Garden

Yesterday I finally planted my little "garden" I use that word lightly because it's mostly just some herbs in pots! But that is all that I have the time and desire for right now! I'm hoping that the warm weather stays and the plants take off. I planted tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro, basil, and leeks. I have to keep everything in pots other wise the dog digs it up. So it limits my choices!
Hope to be enjoying some yummy salsa soon!

Caleb the graduate

Caleb graduated from 5th grade on Thursday! He is officially a middle school er!
I can't believe how fast elementary school went by for him. He is such a good student and becoming such a responsible young man.
I can't wait for him to start middle school in the fall.

Receiving his diploma
So grown up and handsome!

My little monkey

Reese is hysterical.
This child is becoming so independent and driven. Some days I want to pull my hair out, but most days I just sit and laugh at her. I have been taking a million pictures and try and get it all on video, but it just isn't the same as in person. She is loud, and she is rough, and she DOES NOT stop moving. EVER. I don't think people believe me when I say that. She tosses and turns all night in her sleep, and makes noises. She won't let you cuddle or hold her. Here are some of her recent antics that crack me up.
She likes to play under things a lot

She LOVES books! She just sits and turns the pages over and over. I think this face just says it all
She found where I hid the diapers. The child loves playing with diapers. Clean of course! But the problem is she ends up ripping them apart(hence the rough play)
Everything that I have she MUST have. No I didn't let her drink any of it, but she had to play with the cup and hold it.

Blahhhhh

Today was a very blah day. Katie is sick. Fever and throwing up sick. She won't stop either. I feel so bad for her, wish there was more I could do to help. I will say, this is the first time she has been really sick in a loooooong time, so I guess she was due. This Gtube has been a lifesaver! Usually when she is sick she refuses to eat or drink and just throws up non stop, to the point where she is dehydrated and has to be admitted into the hospital. But with the g tube we can continue to give her fluids whether she wants them or not! She is still puking, but she is still having wet diapers and drooling. Which I am very happy about(yes I know that may sound strange to you) It means she is still hydrated!
It's 9pm and her fever is gone, but she is still puking away. Looks like we will be missing Caleb's graduation tomorrow:( SUPER BUMMED!!

Project day

Any of you that are married to or live with a contractor will sympathize with me on this one.
My projects around the house are always the last to be done. It gets very annoying, and I have become quite handy just so it gets done:)
Jim knows it has really been bugging me lately so he has been making a really big effort to get things taken care of around here.
Today was VERY productive! It's amazing how happy these things made me:
I HATE the brita water pitcher. Every time I go to get a glass of water it's empty. It always has particles in the water, and on and on. I have been wanting one of the water purifier taps that is constant clean water. But at almost $200 I don't think so.
Well guess what went on sale at Home Depot this week....
I am SO excited and have already drank like 5 glasses of water because I'm so excited about it!
Next project:
Our "pantry" was a shelf in the garage that was a constant mess, and irritating to have to keep looking in the garage for stuff when I'm cooking. So I found this pantry cabinet on walmart.com for $50!! Score! It will keep me organized, and eliminate the junk we don't really need but buy anyway!

My pictures got out of order.... oh well!! By far the BEST thing that happened today was our new mattress set was delivered!!!! I have never had a brand new mattress before, always hand me downs. So we took advantage of the amazing sales they were having for Memorial Day and got one. I am going to bed right after I type this(it's 8:15) SO excited!!
And last but not least, I needed more storage in the living room for Reese's toys. I found this bookcase, Yes bookcase at Ikea. I put it on it's side instead of upright and put these great baskets in it. It holds everything(there is even an empty basket) It looks great! I am going to bed a very happy girl. The thing I am most happy about is how much money I spent for all of these projects. Excluding the mattress everything cost $210! I was on a bargain mission and I am so happy with my finds!

Weather downer

Our weather has been so awful, we have basically been stuck inside the last few days! I can't believe that it's June and it is pouring rain and freezing cold out. They have even issued a winter storm warning in Tahoe today!! WINTER! I am fed up with it, I want to be outside already
Caleb left for outdoor Ed yesterday. I'm sure he is having the best time. I can't wait to hear all about it
Hope to be able to get out and do things soon, so I have more to post about:)
