My living room at the end of the day

Reese is a whirlwind when she plays. Every night after she goes to bed this is what my living room looks like. She pulls everything out!!
And it's not just the living room, if we leave the bathroom door open she will pull stuff out of the drawers in there.
She also likes to take all of the shoes out of my closet when she gets the chance.
Add Katie and Caleb to this mess and you can understand why we need a bigger house!!(they are at their mom's this week)

Stuffed bell peppers

I normally wouldn't post about cooking food, because I doubt anyone cares about what I make for dinner! But when I was making this recipe it was SO colorful and pretty I had to take pictures of it.
Plus I know with the other blogs I read and follow, I love some of the cooking ideas I get.
I got the recipe off of www.ourbestbites.com I am seriously obsessed with this website right now. I cook something from it everyday. Unfortunately it's not the healthiest food(I am trying to lose weight, so I am really limiting my carb intake), but now I am on a mission to take their great food, and make it fit my diet a little better.

Yum Yum Yum. They were SO good.

A girl and a ball pit

We have a ball pit that we bought for Katie a few years ago. She LOVED the thing, but since she developed so much pain she never wanted to go in it. So we deflated it and put it away for 2 years. I saw it in the garage the other day and thought that Reese might like it. So I set the thing up, and she had been going nuts in it ever since. I'm so glad I got it out!
Here she was kissing the ball because she was so happy about it

At one point she even crawled out, went over and grabbed her snack container, then climbed back in to eat her snack!

I love that cheesy smile

Palm Springs Vacation

Reese and I got to go to my Dad and step mom's time share in Palm Desert for the week! My grandparents also went on the trip. It was HOT, but the resort was gorgeous(and it had great air conditioning) We swam and ate good food, and just relaxed. Well as much as you can relax with an 11 month old.

Here is the view from our deck to one side

View to the other side, we were on the 18th hole

Reese and my grandpa Bob. Next to Caleb he is her favorite person. She just laughs at him, and by the end of the trip she was even saying "Bob" so cute!

Reese swimming

Baby prune feet

Reese and my dad

We had an amazing prime rib roast one night, and my dad decided to share his bone with Reese. Not so sure at first

Hmmm maybe this tastes ok.....

Maybe I will hold onto this.....

MINE.....

Don't touch it!!

After that of course she needed a bath. I had to take a picture of her in this tub, because it was GIANT! The picture doesn't really show how big it was, but she could swim back and forth across it. It was a 2 person tub.

We went to a WWII museum. My grandma did the rivets for the bomb doors on these planes. Very fun to hear her reminisce.

It was a great much needed trip. We missed Jim, Katie, and Caleb, but they will come next time!

10 Steps

So while I was at work today(of course) Reese took 10 steps! This is the most she has taken so far. And of course it was walking to Caleb. I swear that child loves him more than anyone else. It is so cute. And I love that she doesn't bother him. He never gets frustrated with her, and anytime she starts to fuss and I'm trying to do something, he runs in to play with her. It's like he can't stand for her to be upset. So cute.
Any day now she is just going to take off. I am excited for her to walk, but not excited at the same time. It will NOT be fun to try and keep this girl under control once she is able to walk.

No camera:(

I am so bummed my camera finally died. I think I dropped one final time and it couldnt take anymore.
So the blog will be pretty boring for a while until I can replace it! Sorry!

House of the Sick

Reese and I got to spend her first Fourth of July indoors and VERY sick! On Sunday the 3rd Reese was acting very strange all day. She just wanted to be held all day and if I put her down she would scream, and then at 3 I noticed that she felt super hot. Checked her temp and sure enough 102.1. So I decided to take her to the ER since it was a holiday the next day and didn't want to wait for the dr's office to open. The Dr said she has double ear infections. Poor girl!! So she got antibiotics and was good to go.
Then on Monday I woke up at 2 in the morning with a 102 fever and chills and the WORST sore throat. YUCK. I went to my Dr on Tuesday morning and I had strep throat!!
He said that he was about 99% sure that Reese had it too. Her symptoms matched and he said with her and I in such close contact we gave it to one another. But the antibiotic they gave her at the ER would kill strep too, so he said there was no point in testing her, if she had it, it will be taken care of.
Well today is Thursday and I feel so so much better. I even went back to the gym today!
Reese is back to her normal self and the best part is she is sleeping ALL night every night, and has been taking great naps during the day. I am SO happy my Boo is feeling better.
Now let's hope we all stay healthy for the rest of the summer!!

sort of swim day

The weather is warming up here!
I got Reese one of those $10 pools from Target the other day, so yesterday we pulled it out for the first time.
The water was a little cold so she didn't want to go in it, but she loved sitting on the side and splashing and playing in it.
