Project day

Any of you that are married to or live with a contractor will sympathize with me on this one.
My projects around the house are always the last to be done. It gets very annoying, and I have become quite handy just so it gets done:)
Jim knows it has really been bugging me lately so he has been making a really big effort to get things taken care of around here.
Today was VERY productive! It's amazing how happy these things made me:
I HATE the brita water pitcher. Every time I go to get a glass of water it's empty. It always has particles in the water, and on and on. I have been wanting one of the water purifier taps that is constant clean water. But at almost $200 I don't think so.
Well guess what went on sale at Home Depot this week....
I am SO excited and have already drank like 5 glasses of water because I'm so excited about it!
Next project:
Our "pantry" was a shelf in the garage that was a constant mess, and irritating to have to keep looking in the garage for stuff when I'm cooking. So I found this pantry cabinet on walmart.com for $50!! Score! It will keep me organized, and eliminate the junk we don't really need but buy anyway!

My pictures got out of order.... oh well!! By far the BEST thing that happened today was our new mattress set was delivered!!!! I have never had a brand new mattress before, always hand me downs. So we took advantage of the amazing sales they were having for Memorial Day and got one. I am going to bed right after I type this(it's 8:15) SO excited!!
And last but not least, I needed more storage in the living room for Reese's toys. I found this bookcase, Yes bookcase at Ikea. I put it on it's side instead of upright and put these great baskets in it. It holds everything(there is even an empty basket) It looks great! I am going to bed a very happy girl. The thing I am most happy about is how much money I spent for all of these projects. Excluding the mattress everything cost $210! I was on a bargain mission and I am so happy with my finds!
